I Forgot How To Write A Check Today.

I don’t know about you, but we hardly ever write actual paper checks anymore.  Like most people I know, we pay our bills online, we use a debit card when we buy gas or shop at the store.  The need to carry cash or write checks is almost nonexistent, as matter of fact; vending machines are even coming out with a method of using your debit or credit card to buy.
So recently I was at a mom and pop store for lack of better words, and when I got ready to purchase what I wanted, I pulled out my debit card and the lady said we only accept cash or checks.
Luckily for me my wife carries checks in her purse.  My wife hands me the check book, I opened it and sat there with the deer in the head light look.
I actually forgot for short moment, how to write a check.  It had been so long since I wrote my last one.  It didn’t take but a few seconds for it to come back to me, transparent to the clerk that I had forgotten how to write a check.
We get paper checks in the mail from opportunities I promote, sometimes up to 5 checks from different programs.
Maybe we should start using our check book more and sending a paper check to pay our bills, would keep me from getting rusty at check writing and help the post office stay in business.
